The Dividends Show is a monthly program dedicated to bringing you all the latest news and information from MSU's College of Business. Each episode gives you an inside look at the College's programs and events, history, faculty, students, and alumni.
In the latest episode of the Dividends Show, host Jeffrey Rupp speaks with Doug Robertson from Cadence Bank in Columbus, Mississippi about the Lemonade Day, a national program where kids set up lemonade stands and learn entrepreneurial skills and money management. The program is supported by community partners, including Cadence Bank, for the annual event in the Golden Triangle area.
Rupp also speaks with Chris Young, a two-time participant in the MSU Center for Entrepreneurship & Outreach's annual iCreate Camp, a week-long residence camp for 14 to 16-year-olds each summer. Participants form a company, create products, market them, and sell them at a pop-up shop. The campers also get to keep the net profits. The camp helps develop entrepreneurial skills and gives participants confidence.
