Dear College of Business Family,

The core values of the College of Business at Mississippi State include:

• Opportunity—embracing an optimistic spirit and creating possibilities
• Community—encouraging collaborating and outreach to better society

This is who we are. This is who our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends are. We are a diverse and inclusive college, and we should take pride in living our core values. Everyone matters. Everyone's personal worth is important.

This is a tough time in the history of our country between Covid-19 and the senseless racism and violence throughout the country. Nothing I can say can alleviate the pain and fear many of you have expressed and are feeling.  As Bulldogs, we can recognize that there are injustices in this world and try to live our lives in the spirit of our core values. We are a family of strong moral principles and character .

Now, more than ever, I want you to know that you are seen, and we are here to listen to you. Together, we will work to continue to support our students, staff, and faculty as we all take the initiative  to do better for each other . We see you. We hear you. We stand with you.
