Scarlett Jocelyn Farmer, born at 3:23 p.m. Sunday, was the first baby delivered in 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long at birth. She is the first child of Adam and Danielle Farmer of Starkville. Danielle is a physical therapist at Baptist and Adam is a professor of marketing at Mississippi State University.
