The Bulldog Business Show - January 1, 2026

In this episode of The Bulldog Business Show, we highlight how the Mississippi State University College of Business is connecting students to real-world opportunities—inside and outside the classroom.

We kick things off with Business Bites, celebrating fall graduates at the inaugural Business Bulldog Senior Dinner and spotlighting Supply Chain Logistics students who wrapped up a semester of experiential learning with Taylor Logistics.

Then, we’re joined by Dr. Kathleen Thomas, Head of the Department of Finance and Economics, who shares her 23-year MSU journey, breaks down finance and economics majors, discusses career paths for students, and explains how her signature freshman networking event prepares Business Bulldogs for interviews and professional life. She also previews this spring’s upcoming Insurance Day, bringing industry leaders to campus.

Next, Ricky Clifton, Coordinator of Employer Engagement, stops by to talk about building relationships with employers, expanding industry tours for MBA students, and helping Bulldogs sharpen their résumés, interview skills, and networking confidence—all while opening doors to internships and full-time roles.

We wrap up with a reminder about Club 1915 and how alumni and friends can continue supporting student success across the College of Business.
