Mississippi State University’s Scholarship Program assists outstanding students who demonstrate the potential for superior academic performance at the college level.
College of Business Scholarships
The College of Business at Mississippi State University offers scholarships for students majoring in business. These scholarships are due to the generosity of many alumni and friends of the College of Business. Most scholarships are annual awards distributed in the fall and spring semesters each academic year. The application process depends on your current status as a student at MSU. To apply for business scholarships, students must be listed as a College of Business student on the university’s admissions application and complete the University’s scholarship resume by December 1.
Newly admitted freshmen should apply for College of Business scholarships through their myState account. Entering business majors that apply by MSU's priority deadline will receive full consideration for business scholarships. Any business scholarships awarded will be included in scholarship letters sent out by MSU each spring.
Newly admitted transfer students and returning business students can apply online through their myState account between January 15 and March 1 each year. Scholarships will be awarded for the following academic year. You can find the Scholarship application once you logon to your account. Under the “Banner” tab, select “Financial Aid and Scholarships.” The application is listed as “Submit/Revise General Scholarship Application (18/19).”

Graduate Students
The Adkerson School of Accountancy and the College of Business offer assistantships to entering graduate students who have demonstrated a high level of academic success. Graduate assistants work 20 hours per week under the direction of a faculty member. During any week, a graduate may assist in research projects, grade course homework, and assist students in help sessions.
To obtain an assistantship, you must either be admitted or be in the process of being admitted full-time to one of our graduate programs (unclassified and/or part-time students cannot hold assistantships). Graduate students with assistantships receive a tuition exemption (fees not included) and a monthly stipend.
