Economics in Washington, D.C.
Mississippi State University College of Business students traveled to Washington, D.C., for an immersive look at how economics, public policy and business intersect beyond the classroom.
During the trip, students visited organizations including the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Bureau of Labor Statistics and Bureau of Engraving and Printing while engaging with professionals working in economics, government and public policy. Students also visited the U.S. Capitol and connected with Mississippi State alumni working in the Washington area.
The experience allowed students to see economic concepts they study in the classroom at work in the institutions responsible for collecting data, shaping policy and informing decisions across the country.
