Summary:

Ben McLarty joined Mississippi State University as an Assistant Professor in 2016. He received a B.S. from Oklahoma State University in 1999 and an M.B.A. from OSU in 2001. From 2001 to 2010 he worked in the financial services industry in marketing, compliance and human resources. He earned a Ph.D. in Management from Louisiana State University in 2015 and worked at West Texas A&M University before joining MSU. Ben has published journal articles in such outlets as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice, Family Business Review, Human Relations, Journal of Business Research, and the Journal of Business & Psychology among others. His research interests include individual differences and personality, job performance, entrepreneurship, and family business. He enjoys traveling, meeting interesting people, and being an active member of the academic community serving active roles particularly with the Southern Management Association. He is also active with other professional organizations including AOM, USASBE, and FERC while also reviewing for numerous peer-reviewed journals. He is also passionate about watching college football, listening to podcasts and spending time with his friends and family.
