Dr. Meghan Millea Receives 2014 Grisham Master Teaching Award
4-10-14 - Professor of economics Dr. Meghan J. Millea has been selected as the recipient of the 2014 Grisham Master Teaching Award. This award has been recognizing teaching excellence since 1993.
Millea was recently surprised in the middle of a class lecture by MSU Provost Dr. Jerry Gilbert, Dean Sharon Oswald and several past winners of the Grisham Master Teaching Award who announced that she had been selected for this prestigious honor.
Millea will be honored at a special ceremony at Mississippi State on May 1, 2014.
The Grisham Master Teacher Award is the highest honor given for teaching at MSU. Recipients are nominated and required to submit a packet of materials for evaluation. The awards program is made possible by best-selling author and MSU accounting alumnus, John Grisham. Grisham received his B.S. in accounting at Mississippi State University in 1977 before earning his law degree.
