Why did you choose to attend Mississippi State University?

From my first visit to MSU my sophomore year of high school, I was hooked. The campus, the curriculum, the organizations to get involved in outside of the campus, but most importantly, the people were major factors influencing my decision. I have never regretted my decision to attend the first school I visited.

How did you select business as your major?

I knew I wanted to major in business, but wasn't quite sure on the specifics. When I saw the Supply Chain Management concentration on the COB website, I knew I had found my match. I've always been interested in how products go from someone's wildest dream to a tangible product on the shelf. I knew the Supply Chain Management concentration was the right fit for me and would help me achieve my goals.

How did the College of Business prepare you for your career?

The College of Business played a key part in helping me get my job. The College of Business hosted IP for interest sessions and on-campus interviews with the career center. I was offered my position seven months prior to graduation; it was such a blessing and relief knowing my post-graduation plans so early in my senior year. Every event that the College of Business hosted, from Mocktails to Career Chats, helped me prepare for my career. I highly encourage students to participate in every event because they really do make a difference! I am so thankful for the College of Business, the career center, and Dr. Frank Adams for their help throughout my interviews with IP, and ultimately the acceptance of my current position. I couldn't have done it without the preparation and encouragement these people poured into me! Mississippi State truly is a family and one I am very proud to belong.
